IFS

has anyone done an independent front suspension on a bucket had it not look clunky? F1 cars have pretty slim-looking front suspensions but they don't show that smile that a dropped solid has. I'd like to see pics of any IFS on buckets.

Here is a pic of one.

I think that Kenwood should chime in here with the IFS on his track nosed T. It is REALLY trick! Come on Ken, don't be bashful.

I agree a LOT of thought when into this build. A good friend of EX-JUNK'S started this project about 10 years ago. When I started looking for a project I came across this one and could not pass it up. ken

I'm glad that you got your picture posting problem solved, Ken. That IFS is really something to look at. I hope that others can appreciate the work and engineering that went into building it.

rocker IFS.. I saw a roadster at a car show that had the rocker arm shaft at an angle but front to back teeter-toter so the coilovers were over the frame rails. more radiator room.

IFS design. Most modern designs have the upper controll arms shorter than the lowers. the tire de-cambers on turns , The Uper controll center points angle down about 5 to 7 + to the rear so during braking the front end comes down and induces more castor for stability. The tie rods are parallel to the lower arm and the inner rod pivot is in alignment with a line thru upper and lower innerA arm points. ,The rack can be moved up-down fore- aft to fine tune handling. My T buckets are beam axles but I plan to use a modified Jag on my 31 Nash and glass 32 Ford roadsters.
