Low Slung T

I'm surprised it wasn't. I have it on the bench right now finishing it up and getting ready to grind for the next week and a half!

Opinions wanted. I’m planning on making some buckets for my taillights. They will kind of resemble the style of my headlights. Would you use 18 or 20 gauge steel for this?

T-test - I should have been driving this by now but my company decided to move me across the country and really threw a wrench into my plans. I lost so much time messing around trying to sell my house buy a new one and getting my new garage unpacked and setup and then finding new suppliers that don't price gouge me(Still need to find a fiberglass and resin supplier). Plus my kids keep me running like crazy. This weekend, I spent all day Saturday at a lacrosse tournament and most of Sunday running them around. ugh.

I get my glass via eBay... comes from Florida and has always been fresh.

ALWAYS FAMILY FIRST!!!
Life's little setbacks will eventually get done!! NEVER give up on ANYTHING.

But always remember---when it's over---It's OVER--DONE with IT!!

Made some progress on my bend. About halfway done with the grinding needed and have my plate mounted up and my plate light. Also got my fuel filters and pumps mounted to the underside of it.

Also got my fuel lines bent up. Used a long 3/8 bit and a 2x4 to straighten my roll up. Didn’t work perfectly but pretty well and it didn’t cost $200 like the tool costs.
I got 6 AN tune nuts and sleeve to finish off my lines but the tube sleeves are way to big. Not sure if I ordered the wrong part or if they gave me the wrong part. Going to be calling the supplier Monday to figure that out. Now I just need to get something to mount the lines to the frame and then make my stainless hoses to finish up the fuel system.

I can’t take credit for the 2x4. I found the idea online. Just happened to have a real long drill bit from something else. The person o saw online just went through the 3 1/2” side and it seemed to work well too.

I made one out of angle iron with patio door rollers... works ok, I like the simplicity of the 2x4!

Been working on some bucket for my tail lights the last few weeks. I’m not sure what percentage of happiness I’m at with these, but they will work for my tail lights for now. I’ll most likely revisit them after I get it on the road.
Started with a ring that I had Ron cut my out. Then took some sheet metal, rolled it, pie cut it, and formed it into a dome. Some welding, some grinding, more welding and grinding and here they are.

Damn, I would have never thought about doing something like that, job well done !!!
