Model T front axle on Model A frame

So I'm just getting parts together to build a T. I have a Model A frame. I found parts for sale that include a T aftermarket front axle. Can I adapt this to my A frame? Is there an aftermarket crossmember made for this? If not are there plans available to fab one?

Can I use a 3" tube ( what thickness?) and a " suicide kit" from ebay seller tbucketparts4u?

Great to hear of your plans and I'm sure you can adapt the T front end to your frame. Just curious, why do you prefer the Model A frame? Is it more suitable for a body you have in mind?

Considering those parts are 100 years old and hot rodders have mixed and matched stuff like this all that time, there has got to be a way. Now if the exact parts you have will be the best, easiest to cobble together is the question.
The HAMB (Jalopy Journal link Spanky posted) is a treasure trove of this kind of stuff, but your exact question will be a needle in a hay stack. If a rodder is using a Model A frame, they would use the Model A axle/suspension or update it with later model 32-up stuff, not backdate it with older stuff for the most part.
Then you talk about a suicide mount, which is different than a Model T or a Model A and you are in a T-Bucket forum.

The T is much lighter and has no brakes and limits wheels. NOTE the spindle area.

The Model A is much stronger and has brakes and a wider wheel choice. NOTE the axle is directly under the spring and crossmember.

Finally, a 'suicide' front is what is typical and common on a T-Bucket, but does not use T or A parts.

If you are building a 'gow job' the most likely would be a Model A setup on an A frame, not the T.
This one is all T.

Note: he has access to aftermarket parts (eBay) for a T front axle so I'm guessing they're already engineered for a T-bucket with strength considerations and brake applications.

(PS - the eBay seller happens to be RPM, one of our sponsors, and his stuff is definitely T-bucket friendly.)

Maybe take a look at Wescott's Model A frame print and compare it to Youngster's T-Bucket frame and see how they compare and get an idea of the differences is width & stuff.

We made a T-Bucket frame out of an A frame back in the '60s; pretty much took the A frame apart; cut off the frame horns, ditched the front & center crossmembers, used a tube front crossmember with a suicide perch, Z'd the back, narrowed the A rear crossmember, and boxed the frame when done.

Modern times; seems it would be easier to get some rectangular tube and be a whole lot ahead to start with.
