Whatever type of look you want, I would make it fit OVER that stock cover, then there would be no leaks and the oil inside would be going where it is supposed to go, and doing what it is supposed to do.. if you get my drift... The factory designed it that way, ugly, for a reason, right?

Boy you are way ahead of me.
Anything that goes on the diff will be a cover. As you say the factory got it right so theres no point in changing it.
