Hello guys/gals,

My name is gabe and I live in Lakeland, GA. I just started my t-bucket project and I have a few questions first the basics I have a 351W HO from a police car and a c6 trany with a ford 9 inch rear end to put in the car. 1) I am building my own frame from scrach and i am just about done with the basics, but my frame lengh came out 104 3/4 not 105 is that going to be a problem? 2) what kind of set up works best for the rear end and does any one have a diagram? This is first car that I have ever built and it is going to take a little while because i am going to build it piece by piece as i can afford it so it doesn't put me in debt. I am really excited to have started bulding but I needing to plan the next step so any help would be great.

Thanks,
Gabe

You are NOT going to the moon! Don't worry about 1/4" as long as both sides are the same and the frame is square. Welcome to the fold. You are going to love the power to weight ratio you end up with!

yeah everything is square(measured it about 12 times because it is dead on perfect fram corner to corner. yeah i cant wait to do friday night drive with me girl :)

Welcome and good for you building your own chassis. I did mine with no plans st the time. Great project to do. Got any pics?

In all reality the only part that needed to be square, are the radius rod mounts, this puts your front and rear axles where they are supposed to be, the rest is along for the ride... Good luck with your build, there are several people and companies that have plans and how-to-books out there... :)

Go to the top of the pageand click on the icon for "How to Build a T Bucket Roadster". About half way down there is a set of chassis plans that you can download for free. You might find the answers to your question there.
