pcv problem

got a nice set of vintage valve covers but nether one had any place for oil fill or pcv valve so i invented my own with a few brass fittings and a screw in pcv valve ,drilled a 1/2 inch hole in end of cover and used rubber washers for gaskets on a brass 90 stuck thru hole with a nut on the back ,does not suck any oil thru hose and no more oil blow by because of no vent

If I were you I would install the PCV valve some where on line from the oil filler to the carb base. Then run the line directly (no PCV valve) from the valve cover to the base of the air cleaner. This way you will draw filtered air into the engine.

Jess the only thing that I see is needing to put the vent cap back on the filler tub so that you have air to come in and not create a vacum in the block

By the way the Carolina NTBA show sounds good I just need to schedual time off and if gas stays this low or lower drive to it.

I know nothing about motors, so I can't comment on it. But I do like them valve covers.
