good news for ya Fred... Package on the way FedEx Ground...

Thanks!:rulz: I'll have something to do besides chew my fingernails!:D

Fred your car has the right look nothing gawdy or outa place has the right stance. I think your Build thread and your car represents what hot rodding is all about ! Looking back over all the post's on your build you have managed to show why bucket owners and hotrod owners in general are a great group of individuals. With all the great help and generously that has been extended by these individual's is one of kind !.
I would like to thank the T-Bucket Forums for giving us a place to do all this !
I know there are many "countless" other sights out there that can do this very thing But I am proud to be part of this forum and the special group of people that have assembled here .

Scored a speedo cable on Ebay tonight. Should be here by next week! Then I'll be able to see how fast I've been speedin on the street in front of where I work! :)

Interior upgrade

I had some free time today, while working for a friend of mine and decided to clear coat my steering column and try a little color on LowRollerChevy's column support. I think it came out well.

I was going to paint the column black, but I liked the metal look. As for the support, it looked good clear coated, but this looks much better.

My speedo cable and the valve covers from LumenAl arrive Monday. It's goin to be a nice beginning to the week.

I'm glad. You made a very nice piece and I have gotten quite a few compliments about it. It deserved better than what I had done originally, so I was going to go black, but changed my mind to red. Sometimes, the creative brain cell takes a while to kick in.;)

Nice Fred.

The Dawn Patrol

This morning, I got up early and went to the shop. Early as in, day break. I usually use Sundays to inspect, clean and spiff up Miss Behavin' because I like to take her for a few short spins Saturday afternoons. This morning was different. As I was rolling her out, I heard the sounds of silence coming from the main road. So, I checked her fuel and climbed in. We were on a mission.

I drove down to the end of the block and checked both ways for traffic. Nothing. The, I went for it. Punched it and got on the road. I went further than I had ever gone before. Caught a couple lights and surprised the early risers. I took the long way back to the shop, even scooting along the feeder road of the freeway. Ahh... the smell of the early morning dew and the sound of Miss Behavin' were a melody for the sences. Then, as I approached a road leading back to my shop, I saw a police car roll out behind me. He got next to me, looked over and nodded. I guess he didn't notice I was lacking a license plate. Not wanting to press my luck, I raced back to the shop.

I figure I put about 6 or 7 miles on her this morning. She behaved like a lady and I gave her an extra good going over. Reminded me of the WWII flyers on a dawn patrol.:D No boggies, just a near sighted sheriff.

Ten more days till I get tags. Ten looooong days.

Well, the area my job is at is fairly safe compared to other places in Houston. He was probably as surprised to see me as I was to see him.

She drove great. Tracked well, I hit a few bumps and the friction shocks worked well. Took my hands off the wheel for a bit and she held a straight line. Braked straight too. All systems are go for lift off.
