Throttle cable

I like easy and it looks like a good product. Lokar throttle cable kit. Cut to fit. I just wonder if I should get the 24in. or the 36in. kit. It doesn't look like it's more than 2 feet.

Can ya give me some guidance here, guys?

The cable from the firewall to the carb bracket should have some slack in it to allow for torque of the engine. I have a s-curve in mine and I used the 24 inch kit.

Simply use a tape measure from your foot throttle to your carb linkage and allow for a little slack as "gfigms", aka Milt Atkinson, said. Check out the photo below.

I got my throttle cable off e-bay [lokar knockoff] 'bout 1/2 price of lokar & has worked fine .....

If I remember this correctly, when you are going to cut the cable to length you cut the end that goes to the carb. If that's right, slide the aluminum ferrule down to the middle of the cable rather than taking it off, cut the excess and then slide it back into place at the new end. Much easier than taking it off and putting it back on. Don't ask me how I know.
