Don't mean to hijack the thread - but - if you're comfortable with stick welding, is there anything wrong with using that for fabrication work?

Absolutly not. If you can do it right it is more than acceptable. Wire welding is a relatively new way to stick metal together. Stick is harder to do, but the results can be just as good or better. I know several people who do better with a stick than I can mig. :suicide:

D.C. -reverse polarity ,6010-6013, 7014-7018, did everything on mine w / those , 11 years 33K miles , no problem .
