    Greetings from S.W. florida.

You might want to erase that cell and PM him with it. The open internet can be a dangerous place to put personal info sometimes. Just sayin'. :) Don

    frame and body concern

I don't think so, it doesn't have enough taper going toward the front. The rail look pretty straight all the way up to the front tires. But without better pictures we can't be sure what you have there. Don

It would be nice to think they might change their ways, but Norb has been operating that way for years, and Leopards don't usually change their spots. No matter how much bad press he gets he just keeps doing things the same old way. Some people are just lousy business people. Don

Jerry, the problem with Last Refuge is they have so much negative feedback about their business practices. If you google them or go on some car forums and do a search you will find where they take forever to ship parts, do not respond to emails or calls asking for information on paid-for orders...

    Trailer Question

Milt, thank you for coming back and telling us what you found out. So many times a guy comes on and asks for suggestions about a problem then never comes back to tell you what the solution was. I hate when that happens and it not only leaves everyone hanging, but we learn nothing from it...

Fire Wall steering column dust cover

The one fordsbyjay posted is a good way to go. You could also make your own by cutting the hole neatly so there isn't a big gap around the column and then cutting a piece of flat rubber to go on the inside of the firewall that seats up tight against the column. Finally, you could make an...

I have seen the extended Brookville body and it does give a little more room for larger folks. They are also right about the sbf being longer and needing more room. I am running one in my 27 on a model a frame, and the motor goes back under my firewall about 4 inches. Don

    Odyssey Battery PC 680

I had mine mounted between the rear axle and body, in the worst possible environment where it got wet, and it still worked fine. Just run something like 2 ga battery cable to the starter for the positive, and also run another 2 ga cable from the negative post on the battery directly to a bolt...

Not sure where to start on this one. I know nothing about Zipper Motors and very little about the Spirit cars, but am pretty familiar with the Brookville Roadster bodies. My Son's rpu is based on a 30 Brookville body and bed, and I helped him on a lot of the fabrication. I guess the first...

    Odyssey Battery PC 680

Here is another vote for the PC 680..........had one in my 23 and it never gave me one problem. I was leary when I bought it but spoke to the owner of the company. He told me he has a blown BBC in his hot rod and it cranks that over fine. He was right, but I have no idea how they sqeeze that...

    steering box question

At that price it really makes no sense to have to pull one from a wreck. Steering boxes do get sloppy after time so that is a huge reason to just buy brand new. I'm surprised it is that cheap because the knock off Corvair boxes are up near $ 400 now. Don

    TBucket update.

You are getting a super deal at that price. We had a bunch of stuff for my Son's rpu coated, including the frame and rear end housing, and it was about $ 1200.00. But it is still the best deal going. I am painting less and less these days because all the supplies are getting very expensive...

    Insurance

Here are some of the hoops you will have to jump through, just so you are prepared. First of all, Grundy (an probably Haggerty too) have two different types of insurance. One is where they insist on insuring all the cars you own, even your daily driver. On that policy they "bundle". The second...

    Donor Frame

I am going to try to offer my feelings about this in a totally non critical way, and I hope it comes across as such. I am in no way bashing your plans or you. I get where you are coming from, and probably most of the guys on here do too because we were all there at one time in our lives. We...
