Pics from my build.

The are called U nuts or clip nuts any auto parts store should have them. You want the ones with the tower on them. More thread. Farm and Fleet has them (Hillman regular extruded U nut) $.69 each
I tried to find stainless ones, no luck.

Here a picture of the 3/8 nut over the tower of the U-nut. The 3/8 nut just sits there as a spacer to give you clearance for the 1/2 inch long mounting screw. Without it the mounting screw would bind on the hose clamp.20170215_141742.jpg Hope this makes sense.

Rubicon - What do you call the three black parts on the ring clamp? Where did you find them?

Thanks,
Get them at the help section. Don't know the official name but it clips over a hole and one side is threaded. That is one super great idea. My Jeep has them all over. Holds my fan shroud on.

Here are the pics of the oil breather tank set up. I was still getting mist coming out of the breather on top of the tank so I added SS scrubbing pads to the breather side of the tank. That seems to help a lot.

Is that a Mishimoto Catch Can? I've been looking at those.

NO. I'm using a Vibrant Performance catch can # 12695. It has two in ports. If you look at the picture it is mounted on top of my frame and hangs down almost as low as the oil pan. It has a drain plug on the bottom.

Started working on the hard top. I'm going g to use mist of the to from CCR and modify it to fit my needs. Here is a picture of the hinge. I'm going to run 3/4 square tubing around the back of the body off the hinge.

Nice work! Obviously the hinge will allow you to get in and out more easily. Will it also be easy to remove when you want to go "topless?"

Yes it will. That's been my game plan from the beginning. Two spring loaded pins up front sand remove the hinge pin in the back.

Got a little further with my top. Ran out of steel tube. Had to order more. The pictures shows how it will open. Will work on the locking system by the windshield while I wit for the tubing. Ill have to order some stainless steel plate for the parts I'm going to make.

Not sure if you know but when you upload a picture it gives you the option of having a full size version in your post.

Look at the screen capture below and along side the thumbnail is the option of 'Thumbnail' or 'full image'. Hit full image and the pic in your post will be full sized.

Rubicon - Two questions, as I have a CCR top frame that I have been dragging my feet on installing.
1-Is that bracket behind the seat some type of quick release?
2-Would you please post a picture of how the top attaches to the windshield?

Thanks!
