Is there any reason that this master cylinder could not be installed on it's side, rotated 45 degrees to lay flat? The reservoir will be remote about 2 feet away. Thanks.

Might be a challenge to bleed it on it's side . . . I dunno?

How about installing it on it's side with the tube ports facing up so the bleeding will be easier?

If it were mine, and I had to run it sideways, . .

I'd orient the reservoir feed tubes so they face up with the cylinder in planned position, and then use a pressurized reservoir to bleed it while upside down to eliminate any chance of an air bubble in the plastic reservoir adapters.

The slightest bubble, with the help of inertial forces. could end up in the cylinder.

Good plan. Also, maybe bleed it in the normal position and when it is completely air free and rocking, rotate it to the flat position?

That’s a good idea. Rotate it after it’s been bled.

Why not call Wilwood and see what they have to say, it is their master cylinder. I'm
only guessing, but I bet they have been there, done that.

I'd be interested to hear what they have to say on it for sure.

No doubt they have been there - done that . . . . but in this litigious age, a lot of times they can't say anything, (except don't do it) about non-standard uses/mounting positions based on liability concerns.
