Windshield Posts

I have a set of original Model T vertical posts, would they work?

I have a set of the vertical posts. They are chrome and have never been fitted. I'll sell them for what I have in them plus shipping ($125.00 + shipping). Might take me a little while to lay my hands on them.

Mike I'll take them when you can find them, Thanks Jeff

I have a T.P.I. body I ordered a set from Speedway , they didn't fit, so sent them back . Took the set off car the car, I had that fit & had them rechromed .Cost $125. Look good & fit good.

Didn't want to start a new thread, but did want to show what I did. The only
posts I could find in the laid back variety were 30° and that is just too much
when you have a door. The windshield will block the entry of a passenger
when it's laid back that much.

First thought maybe to just heat and bend, but that will not work when it still
has to fit the body. The top had to be straight obviously, sense the windshield
is flat. There is a very short region between the two for the bend to take place.
What to do then ???

I have a machinist that made a fixture to hold the bottom and then he cut a
piece of pie from the post just below the windshield location and welded it
back together. I'm sure I over simplified his work but it turned out great.

I now have 15° stainless steel windshield posts.

To that I added a 3/4 x 19 x 40" acrylic windshield made. I'm not sure if I like
the looks, but it was the fastest way to get a windshield. I'm fighting a deadline
of June 6th and I'm still trying to finish wiring the car from scratch.

I bought mine from Wintec as well. The laid back windshield looks cool to some people but there was only a couple inches between the steering wheel and the windshield. Straight up looks way better IMO. Yours came out very nice.

Thanks fordsbyjay !!!
