I use 1 layer of 2oz. fiberglass mat to make my skins. I also use a 28" x 48" x 1/2" piece of Neoprene to lay up my 2oz. fiberglass mat. The polyester resin doesn't stick to the Neoprene .

Abandoned body shop.... sounds spooky! Lol... lucky you. I literally grew up in my dads body shop. Learned a lot playing and watching the every day grind. I would love to go back to those days, about 1971 or so.

correction on the neoprene ( it's polyethylene). Not NEOPRENE !! Sorry everyone , I made a mistook.

It won't be removable. Hi indycars , i sleep between 11 p.m & 8 a.m. The original sport coupe roof was stationary. This model is not a cabriolet.

I have skinned the entire roof. Now , i'll go inside & glass the skin to the wooden framework. First i have to brush resin on all of the bare wood. Then , i can add fiberglass strips to attach the framework to the outer skin.
