Fred, that is truly one classy chassis!!!

I like it. With any luck, I'll have a body covering most of it by years end.

Looks good. With a nice stance.

You'll be cruise'n in no time.

Just enough shiny to make it classy:)

Transmission drop out showed up a couple days early! So, I'll do a quick prep and get some color on it tonight.

Do the two holes do anything except look cool?

The bracket is made to mount several different transmissions. Thus, the extra slots in the mounting base. It's actually a very nice piece. The paints drying now. The holes in the side are for access to the speedometer hook up.

And done. The fit was perfect. I had concerns that my brake lines would be in the way of the transmission shifter, but looking at the relative location of this bracket, I should be okay.

Tie that bad boy down and stay safe if that storm turns just a hair!

No worries. Harvey's just gonna drown us. On a happier note, I've got half the cost of the CCR stretched body saved up. With the holidays and double pay at work coming up, a Christmas or New Year's purchase is becoming possible. Until then, I'm planning out future steps and eyeballing her profile.

Wind power?

Well, due to the hurricane/tropical storm, I've been starting work at 7am. This gives me time, late at night, to fine tune my chassis a bit. Last night, I adjusted my radius rods to set the assembly in square. It wasn't far off, but it was enough that it bugged me a bit. Hey, 5/8" isn't much, right? WRONG! Next, when the stores open up, I'll replace some grade 5 nuts and bolts with grade 8 materials.

Just tying out loud................ "MAN, I can't wait to call Diane at CCR and ask her to charge my "Hot Rod Savings" card for a body!". I've been sitting on my chassis and just thinking about it. Sorry.... no "VA-ROOOM" noises or pics. Got the chassis all squared up. Bought a small car cover today! The addiction is a craving now!

"I NEED MORE COW BELL!"
