Bowtie T's build

Wish I could weld like that.

View attachment 13858 Borrowed this tip from Ex junk and cut tabs off of caliper and ground smooth. Thanks Jim

I did the same with mine. Although I didn't know at the time that the shape I ended up with was nearly identical to Jim's.

017A.jpg 018A.jpg I bought stainless headers, mufflers, and turnouts. Then trimmed them all down
until I got the length I wanted then tacked together. Going to weld joints solid then polish out the welds. I thought they would look a little different plus I wanted mine a little longer.

010A.jpg Got my roller back together. Frame, front axle, radius rods, tie rod, drag link, panhard bars, spindles, and caliper brackets all powder coated. Calipers, rotors, leaf springs, and rear end
painted satin black. All bolts are stainless steel.

030.JPG 035.JPG Got my roller all back together now. By the way, these are not going to be
the rears I use. They will probably be the last thing I buy. Have since tore my engine down for new cam, seals, and gaskets etc. Will post pictures of that shortly.

O.K. Fred, the gauntlet has been has been thrown into the ring. What do you have to counter ?

Just kidding. How goes the battle in Houston ?

John

I really love frames at this point of construction. I like the thought of a k member to stiffen the frame rails. They are so simple and honest. So much promise. Add an engine. Throw in a trans. Maybe add a body.
So much promise.
