buggy rear spring to coil overs?

I have a '46 Ford open drive banjo rear with the buggy spring. I'm getting sore of the ride. Has anyone evet converted these to coil overs?? Any suggestions?

Shouldn't be a problem to convert. Rpm or Spirit can probably furnish some mounts. Not sure of your rearend weight, but get it weighed, then order proper springs. Maybe in the 100 or 125 pound range. Speedway has a chart that you can pick the right springs.

Only thing is I hate to weld on rear end housing . They warp easely. I made rear shock mounts from '54 chevy frt. steering arms so I could bolt them on. got to figure this out..
