This has a very short wheelbase with really long radius rods. I wonder how this suspension rides?http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ford-T-BUCKET-1923-Ford-T-Bucket-Roadster_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trkparmsZ66Q3a2Q7c65Q3a10Q7c39Q3a1Q7c240Q3a1308Q7c301Q3a1Q7c293Q3a1Q7c294Q3a50QQ_trksidZp3286Q2ec0Q2em14QQhashZitem20abf7691bQQitemZ140324071707QQptZUSQ5fCarsQ5fTrucks

Has anybody rode in one like this?

That would probably point up more than it would point straight..

Bet its very squirrelly

I bet that one has a toilet paper dispenser in their some where.

If you think about it, it has an engine and autotrans and rearend plus a drive shaft of at least 6 or 7 inches, no different than my car... except that he may not be using a turbo 400, so it could be 4 inches shorter than mine... I set my T up to keep the wheels on the ground... these are a bit longer radius rods than mine, but we can not really see what all this chassis has... so it is all guess work, without more pics... :)

The pictures in the add show independent front suspension, and what looks like a double firewall. The second firewall can't help leg room any.

Looks like if it were fairly cheap, I would be tempted to grab it.. make a few changes and you are stylin with your own T Bucket in no time at all, as a good front end is missing, put a nice straight/dropped axle on and a new set of RPMs raduis rods, or CCRs whatever floats your boat and you have a T on the cheap, so to speak... Ya think? and it is driving already, that =s plates and paper.. :)

It is on Ebay for 8500 buy it now price don't know what reserve is though.

Without seeing a lot more detail 8500 sounds high to me. It just doesn't look proportionally right to me. Big tires, high chassis and optically short or boxy in length. Those long rear control arm bother me too. I would really want to look that rear suspension system over real close. I would also be concerned about an IFS on a bucket. Who designed and built it? Is the geometry right? What about bump steer? These would be major issues if it was done incorrectly. For that kind of money I think you could shop around and find a better ride. Just my thoughts.

would take it all apart and fix the frame correctly, ad a bit more onto the front and a axle and radius rods (no IfS for me) looks like you have the makings to make a nice car from the parts, nice wheels and tires and it looks have uhp.. heck all the parts would cost more than He would probably take, but as George said, you can find them cheaper, this is a driver already, easy to change into what you like... way cheaper than a kit, just buy a frame if really needed.. just my thoughts on a running rod.. PARTS... they will take less for sure...

From my past experience repair work on someone elses mistakes it is always more costly then to do it right from the start. Anytime you decide to buy an unfinished or a fix it upper project you would be well advised to go look it over in person. If you are not a fabricator or car builder with some experience then take someone with you that is. There is nothing worst then to buy a project and end up scrapping it and starting over. That being said, there are good deals and projects out there. You just need to look it over and don't let a pretty paint job convince you to buy. Good hunting and good luck.

George

Pretty paint ain't this... But a REAL pretty paint job, can run more than what they want for that whole car... Like George says, take notes of all the good parts, the chassis is the easiest to change or fix, the rest is where the MONEY is... Just my thoughts... :D
