I wonder what we're in for now

If the old saw about a red sky at morning is true, then I think all of us need to take warning! :wow: It was still dark enough the camera really didn't do the red much justice, because that yellow was actually a blood-red.

It was 70° F / 21° C here on Monday. Today, the forecast is for rain and freezing rain. And Friday's forecast is calling for a high temperature of 31° F / -1 ° C, which is the temperature as I type this. Have I ever mentioned I detest winter weather?

Raining here in St. Louis and it's 4 deg above freezing. I see on the radar that Lafayette is getting freezing rain or soon will be. Winter isn't so bad as long as it's not too cold, little snow and no ice storms. From what I just wrote, St. Louis isn't far enough south. That's what I miss about living in San Antonio........the warm winters. Dinner outside on Christmas eve at the River Walk. A million twinkling lights in the trees. Christmas music with just a touch of a Mexican theme to it. The smell of foods from many parts of the world wafting through the air. Good times...good memories.

I hate the cold northern winters also. That is why I moved from northeast Ohio to central Florida as soon as I retired! Best thing I have ever done outside of marring my wife, Nan.

Well, if your weather tomorrow is our weather today, as they say, then you better get your long underware ready. here in SW Oregon we're setting all kinds of low temp records last night and forcast for today. it was 26 when I left for work this AM at 6:30. very very rare here for this time of year.
Makes for some beautiful pictures however, so throw another log on and enjoy!

Cheers,
Russ

Here in Central Oregon it is 5° with about 6 to 8 inches of snow on the ground, heading for a high of 19°. That is hibernation weather.

Mike,

That is why I plan on making Fred's Fun Run each year even though it is in November. All I need is a weather window to drive the T out of Northern California where it is sunny today and 33 degrees at 9:00 AM.

Bob

I don't like any temperature that doesn't start with a seven.
