neutral safety switch on chevy 3 speed

I was told i need a n/safety switch hook up on my chevy 3 speed trans.any ideas on how hook one of these bad boys up? any drawings?jj

a stock floor shifter has one already on it, they work GREAT..

open up the start circuit to the starter sol. and loop it through the switch. in Park or neutral sw is closed and shazam it starts. In gear sw is open and voltage stops at the neu switch nostartie.

I can't see one on the car.shifter was hand built.i guess i need to see if theres a spot on the linkage.or pedal mounting.

Hand built is not a STOCK shifter, seems like most everybody leaves them off, and that is a very bad idea, as people also forget to hold their foot on the brake while starting their engine.. Been there and done that, not fun...

my ford pu has a auto shift release on the brake if nothin else add a psi sw to the brake sys and loop the start through it. When you are on the brake it can be started.

Thats a pretty good idea also, just that most of these guys have way more ponies than usual, and they will buck you right out of the corral if you are not real careful.. hehe so OUT of GEAR is the best!! by far..
