I have no idea what the HP is, but hoping to get great milage out of this combination. Was getting about 18-20mpg with a carb. Like all T Buckets its about FLASH not speed. I build things because I can and I'm not affarid to try anything once. Yes some things don't work, but I redesign and try again. If it can't work it either gets sawed up and sold for scrap, or it hangs on da wall. Where I live its about 90 miles between gas stations to go anywhere. Bucket weighs 1800 lbs with 23 gallons gas. Made of aluminum, all of it except tires and fiberglass body.

I guess they wanted to take up space is all..........I was wondering the same thing Mike......

Here it is Mr. weelstang..........
Need to keep a eye on how that belt is tracking on that top pulley. Looks like it'll take about .o15-.020 shim at the top of the front cover to make it walk center.

I was thinking the same thing, the belt should be in the middle of the pulley. At least that's what the blower shop told me for my 8mm belt.

How do you correct that on a big blower?
