Perch Bolts shortened and threaded

I bought new repro perch bolts for the Doane Spenser/ Rolling Bones style front end that I am putting together for my modified roadster. These will go sideways thru the split wishbones to hold the front spring to lower the car. I bought a pair of repro ones but I wanted to get them shortened and threaded so that I could temporarily bolt them up. Then I could set up the front end weighted with the engine, etc. so they could twist to proper angle before welding them in permanately. The repro perch bolts were too long and interfered with the steering arms. I needed to shorten them, turn the diameter down a bit in a lathe and then thread them. I can shorten them but can't so the rest.

I talked with Jim Wilcos at Wintec Fabrication in Wallingford, CT, http://www.wintecfabrication.com and he was was able to make some up. He has them available if you need them. Good guy to deal with.
