seat insert

I'm going to be building the '27 T, using Spirit's body. To figure out the seating position and maybe a little more room, should I not have their interior insert installed? I really like bomber seats and it looks like to me, that without the insert the seats could fit lower and further back. Am I wrong? Thoughts? Suggestions?? Wadayathink????

Must be a dopie question. I looked at the price of those bomber seats!!!:eek::eek:

they don't look wide enough for my fat a$$, anyway!:rolleyes:

Skip the insert, build a floor and get the fat-guy seat! Seriously, it may be a bit more work, but you won't look like you are driving a stagecoach. I don't mean to be offensive to the '23T crowd (hey I'm building one of those now!), but the '27's look better if you are sitting lower. If you still like the bomber seats, there are guys that can make them--and I'm sure for the wider crowd (like me!)

Well, Spirit doesn't sell the body with working doors, working deck lid without floor. I guess I could do some modifying to the insert.:confused:

Sorry 'bout that. I guess I meant to say without seat insert. I would like a flat floor, so I could place seats lower.

Hope you don't have long legs, the lower the seat the less leg room you have and wind up with an uncomfortable leg angle.

Well, I'm 6ft. I'll probably go with insert. There is a car show over by me tomorrow. Maybe I can talk one of the T-Bucket guys into letting me sit in their Hot Rod.;);)

Put a post on here see if any body is going that you could meet and sit in there bucket.

Yeah, this is the one I'm talking about. I'll be there this evening. Are you going to make this one?

No, I'm not going to make this one. I'm going to try and make the show at Parker Square in Flower Mound tomorrow (sep 20) from 1pm to 5pm.

Hey, I may go to that too.

We were there. where were you? :) There were 3 T-buckets there and you could have sat in all 3 of them. Send me your email address and I'll let you know which show we'll be at next.
