The excitement is building

You lost me at Oculus Rift ...........Enjoying your build so keep the pics coming.

Seems we're in the "wet season" these past few weeks, (rain at some point almost every day, ground saturated, major effort just to keep the car covered . . ) but should be drying out over the next couple weeks. . .

Of course to go along with the good weather coming, I've been handed a new project at work, so that pretty much scuttles any chance to make progress on the '27 for a little while more . . .

I'll post some pics as it progresses, just so everyone knows I'm not slackin' off . . . . ;)

As promised;

Some pics of the project I'm working on for work . . . . .

Everything works as planned, and the drives to operate higher current rolls of LED strips on the actual finished device are working exactly as hoped. . . . Just have to flesh out the local displays where they manage the voltage translation to drive the high side drivers and mosfets of the full size display. . . .

Amazing Island Girl, I take my hat off to someone that can do this stuff with electronics, it's just gobbly gook to me. I'm good with spanners though. ;-))

Flashing sign display?

Electronic roulette wheel / Prize wheel, for promotional and givaway events . . .

It'll be about 4 feet in diameter and instead of an actual rotating wheel, the 38 segments are all brightly lit LED strips that are normally on, except for one, which rotates sequentially starting off fast and slowing to a stop after 30 to 60 seconds, depending on to where in the bar graph display the player "charged the flux capacitor" before hitting the "spin" button.

Darlene - I sense you're at one of those "stuck" places on your build. I wish to heck some of us were close enough to come over and help. It's in our hearts, if not actually do-able. o_O Don't give up! Let us help motivate you. Just try to get one small thing done, and don't let the project overwhelm you. We've got your 6 all the way, girl!!!

The covid-19 pandemic has made me idle for a few weeks now. The weather is turning to sunny & warm. I want to do some more things to KREEPY KRAWLERS. I understand the importance of mask wearing. I was a phlebotomist for the san joaquin county hospital several years ago. I had to enter isolation rooms to obtain lab specimens. I donned masks , gloves & gowns before entering the rooms. So , I support the quarantine rules. I had no problem staying home when the weather was cold & wet. But now it's sunny & warm. But , there's hope. Rainy weather is supposed to return next week. What t builder / owner would look forward to cold ,windy & wet weather ?? LOL !!

Finally some good news!

A nice concrete slab to work on . . . (thank you Covid 19 layoff and unemployment bonus)New Slab 1r.jpg

15' X 42' X 5" thickness . . just over 10 yrds of 35,00 psi concrete with #5 wire mesh

Now I have to buy a pressure washer and blast the fricken' house.

I may yet finish this project before I'm too old to drive it like it ought to be driven

That will be a nice addition to the homestead !

Will you be covering it ?
