    350 SBC Engine

Building a 350 Chevy for a T bucket project, using a 88 model 4 bolt main block with older model double hump heads. It has been a while since I've built a sbc and have a few questions. Since I tore this engine down a couple months ago, seems like I have gotten a bad case of CRS, Can't remember...

Thanks everyone, think I'll leave mine open.

    Attaching bed

Had not thought about that part. Probably better to glass a floor in it. Had planned for it to house the fuel tank and battery.

    Attaching bed

I have a Classic Glass body with a 20" bed that bolts on. Should the bed be fiberglassed to the body? If so does anyone have any pictures of doing such? It seems the bed would break very easy if not glassed on too. Should both sides (in/out) be glassed? Thanks,

    Motor Mount Placement Measurements

I got the 15.95 from the center mount to the back of engine flange where the bellhousing bolts up. I need to know how far back from the outside of the frame on the front to the center of the mount is. Thanks,

    Motor Mount Placement Measurements

I know this has been asked several times, but I cannot find it in a search, Need to know what the measurement is from the front edge of the frame to the center of the motor mount for a sbc engine. Also for a bbc which maybe the same since it has the same mounts. Thanks,

    Adding wood to the body

Thx ben, I ordered my body with the floor installed since I was not one to do body work. I guess I will learn something about "glassing" before I'm finished, but it does seem from looking it would make the body stronger. Especially after the wood is added to the sides. Your floor looks very...

    Adding wood to the body

I've seen several threads with pics that have plywood floors on top of the glass floor. Is this something that always should be done? How does one attatch such? Is this glassed in around the edges? Thanks, Wade

    Spring for coil over

What spring (load rating) should be used on a coil over for the rear of a T?

    Another one from Alabama

I'm slow and duh, it finally hit me. This T is my friends, mine will have the "distributor" in the rear, as it should be. To bad I have not run up on a 440 or it would be in the front also.

    Nice Rearend

Mr Fixit, Not sure what car/truck your rearend come out of but most 9" Fords are the same with brakes being the main difference. Once you get it apart it is a good time to replace the axle bearings and hopefully you'll never need to open again. Remove brake drums, if they don't come off easy...
