1926 Model T RPU

well i got the leak fixed. here is what i did.

found two thicker copper washers in my junk drawer. i annealed them by heated them up cherry red and let air cool.
i then lightly surfaced them on some 220 grit sandpaper to exposed raw bare copper.
during install i tightened them down snug and then gave the banjo bolt a quick wrap with a brass hammer to "seat" them, then re torqued them.

finished bleeding the brakes and left the pressure on to check for weeping. so far, so good.

Good fix. It is a shame we have to do things like that with new parts. I wouldn't have thought to anneal them.

to pass plumbing and wiring i made provisions to pass through the chassis cross members. i used a 1.5" hole saw punched holes front to back and then welded in a conduit (1.5" exhaust pipe) . This allowed me to keep all the plumbing an wiring out of harms way and tight to the inside of the chassis. Everything has to fit in the 3" height of the frame rail.

I like the way you think.

Me too. I'm running my exhaust under the car with oval tubing and these Spintech mufflers.

finished up the work on the body. I made some foot pockets/vents to better fit my big feet. They are made from 22 gauge sheet steel and bolt in. I tried to keep with the lines of the body. I also got all the glass and bondo work done. put down 3 coats of primer.

VERY cool!

With air coming there the buffeting air coming around the windshield may not be as bad. Now if it just doesn't scoop up water from the front wheels!

Made up some header baffles.
Also installed some auger style mufflers and finish tig welded it all together

update:

Cleaned up the engine and transmission.
Installed new: oil pan and gasket, oil filter, starter, flex plate, steel flex plate inspection cover, transmission filter and gasket.

Started final assembly and electrical work.

Electrical work complete.
I retro-fit modern 12v hi/low bulbs (9003) into the headlight buckets. I think they will work just fine.

Started work on the windshield.
