bad timing

Dangit! So I'm starting my T project and trying to squirrel away enough cash to get a stretched body and frame from Ron by June and I find a deal on a sbc 350 out of an 87 truck here locally for 150 bucks. 90,000 miles on the engine and blown head gasket but still a great price around here. Just hate passing on it to get the body and frame on time. Decisions decisions.

I would get the body and frame first, but that's just me. I think you can find a sbc at a good price anytime.

I agree. There's always one that comes along. The engine will probably be there for a while anyway. I don't think there's too many people standing in line to buy a SBC with a blown head gasket.

Core price [what rebuilders pay] for sbc around here is $200 , so that's a good price ....
