Those are nice, better than washers, imho. One would think that rod end manufacturers would include or at least offer the option along with the joint...On their way. Should be here Friday or Saturday. Beveled on the inside to cover the ball of the rod end. .0270" thick. 1.432" in diameter.

I agree 100%!Those are nice, better than washers, imho. One would think that rod end manufacturers would include or at least offer the option along with the joint...
I've seen the cheap chrome stuff rust pretty bad. Your better off with stainless, imho.I looked at the beauty rings O'Reilly's sells for $12.99 each, today. They are chrome and 2" wide. Speedways are polished stainless steel and $24.99 each. They are 2 9/16" wide.
The O'Reilly's brand looked good, nice chrome, but were tweaked a little and just plain felt flimsy. Maybe they straighten out when installed? I used the Speedway style before and I liked the look, plus they were very well done. Beyond that, the missing 9/16" on O'Reilly's just bugged me.
So, I'm going to wait and order the ones from Speedway next week.
Fred,

Sweet little chassis! Now . . . what are your plans for the power train?
Transmission will be a 350TH. I had been looking at cores to have one rebuilt, but here in town a rebuild is more than a new trans! So, I'll be going with a new one with a 2,200 stall.
Speedway Chevy TH350 Automatic Transmission, 2200-2300 Stall
That's a nice sounding package. Does the Speedway tranny retain the kickdown feature? Some of the ones I've seen online are manual only.
