The only thing we have of real value, is time........and we've got no idea of how much we have
LOL How about 80 and still loves hotrods and rock and roll ! The spirit is still rockin here......but the flesh grows weak. How about 76 and still loves hotrods and rock and roll !
Just the drummer and lonesome Dave...the slide guitarist were original, but they still sounded great, loud! It was in a turn of the century "palace" type theater. Good acoustics, etc..
You are exactly right. I've seen guys that I really respected who retired, sat down, and basically never got up. Guys who worked all of their life, accomplished more after work than many do in a lifetime, not lazy guys. I must admit, I am beginning to understand. Pain and the related benefits of working do seem to catch up and slow me down.I'm 73 and am planning on driving my bucket and working on the many projects I always start and never quite finish for many more years. I was fortunate to be able to retire at 59 and I don't know where the time has gone since then. I believe that if you stay active you will make it a lot longer - have seen people retire, sit down, and pretty soon aren't able to get up.
Ditto! Climbing in is getting harder, but it's worth it . . . !I'm 72 with bone on bone in both knees! Gettin' Old is not for sissies!
