Hi Fred, have you thought about a cover the passenger area for protection from the sun ? Also have the cover split the center with a zipper to be able to drive with a little protection AND how 'bout a HEATER to keep your tootsies warm when it's cold outside ?
The one time ya need (or would like) a heater and ya didn't have one.
Just a thought.

No. Didn't need all that before and it was fine. Also, I live in Houston, Texas, we don't have heaters in our Hot Rods.

Hey Fred, as you know, I live in Florida and I have a heater in my T. You can call me a sissy but I don't like any temperature that's below my age which is seventy-five. LOL

Why not use the Marine Adhesive to secure the Velcro?

I found the weather strip adhesive, I kinda knew I had and bonded the velcro to that body edge and the vinyl material. Let it set over night, clamped in place. Just checked it when I got home from work and it worked like a charm. Thanks!

Hey Fred, what type of backing board, foam, and fabric did you use? Boy, if my interior comes as nice as yours, I will be one happy camper.

I used 1/16" ABS sheets for the panels, but would have preferred 1/8". The CCR body with a door has a support brace that extends to the drivers side and goes about 3/4 up the side of the body. It sticks out a bit and I figured the 1/16" ABS would form over it with a minimal bulge. I was right. But using the 1/16" caused me to use some wood pieces in the voids, instead of foam. For the panel foam I used 1/4" foam from: Foam Factory, Inc. - Storefront And the Marine grade vinyl came from: https://www.marinevinylfabric.com/products/marine-vinyl-fabric?variant=13535168902

It don't have to be perfect, when you can say "I did it myself" !!!

You might consider a lighter coat of paint under the seat if you will be putting your wiring
there. It will be much easier to see what you doing or if you drop something. Or use some
Lexan and mount everything to that. It is harder to keep clean thou.

Well, that's a lot more wiring than I'll have, but I was thinking a contrasting color "jute" material would do the trick.

Can't say I've every seen it done with Jute material under the wiring. Looking forward to seeing how it comes out.

If done right, you can undo the external wiring and lift the whole piece of Lexan out
with all the internal wiring still intact.

It may not be "jute", but something similar. A very low nap material. I used a sheet of rubber liner, in my first T Bucket. Just about anything will work.

Well, my first attempt which I am still equipped with is a homemade bench seat. But, after 2 years with it I am not happy, need to sit lower....so, I am going to try Potvinguy's idea of office chairs. Here is what I am thinking. I have one on order to see if it will achieve what I am looking for. well, for whatever reason, it would not let me upload my current seat design, but, it is a bench seat. My seat sits about 6" above the floor level. I have all my electronics and battery under the seat. Also, my current bench seat is rather thick and does not put me against the back body wall of the bucket, which a different seat would. Keep in mind I also, need to make a new brake pedal armature as that also is part of the problem, sits too high and too far back.

Well the seat I bought does not fit, so I bought another and that did not fit either.....so back to the drawing board.....

Maybe you should start a new thread, sure would help others in the same situation. More details with part numbers and links to the actual products. Most important would be which body are you using with the seats mentioned above.

Fred, Go ahead and buy the one from Summit. Install it and look at it for a couple of months. When you grow to hate it enough, sell it to ME for half price and you will still have a good down payment on the Lime Works wheel and we both will be "happy as a dead pig in the sunshine". +

Truth be told, it would be a stretch for me to get that Lime Works steering wheel, but damn it's tempting and I keep running into pics of it in cars. Right now, everything T related is on hold and I used a video to lock down my thread. I've got a "real life" issue to sort out before I can drop any money on a hobby car. But, as always, down time gives me a reason to research and dream.

Logically, the wheel from Summit is what I should get, but Speedway has a wheel similar to Lime Works. It's S/S, but with a 2" dish and it's $90 and it's also 15". I'm still thinking a 15" steering wheel is too out of proportion for a T Bucket, but that pic from CCR says different. So, there are a lot of options for me, when the time comes.

Hope you get your problems worked out soon and get back to your build. Mine has been on hold last 18 months for various family sickness and issues but looks like I will get back to it shortly. Worst thing is each delay gives me TOO MUCH time and I decide to change directions with what I want.
