PS - I was always cautioned not to run the engine without headers, since it might warp the exhaust valves. But I have learned that this is just an old myth . . .

PS - I used an old set of headers on mine during the initial break-in procedure, just to be safe.

You might stuff rags in exhaust ports after shutdown to lessen damage. Best to put on headers to be safe.

I would think no longer that he runs it, and the ambient temps we have been in, it wouldn't do any damage.

I was always told that running an engine without any exhaust will mess up the valves. Something about the fresh air/oxygen getting sucked back in.

They are Keyser Manufacturing 16.5" Auger style mufflers. I'm not a fan of glasspacks, these have a more chambered sound in a cylindrical case.

Yes, it's rather interesting dimensions. One side bottle necks to 3 3/8" ID, while the otherside is 4" OD.

Might make things awkward on most installs, however it was just about perfect sizing with my set up.
