cooters T bucket build

It's been 15 yrs. since I did this , so I'm recalling a little at a time , easiest stuff to bond your inner firewall is called core-bonding compound, very strong -long open time , fills voids, for a roller you want a grooved laminating roller.. a cheap plastic one works just fine, don't try to brush resin on matt , stipple it on , then roll out bubbles [resin & air]

I need to get shifter bolted to trsns before i get ahead of myself. Lokar. What length yall running? 700r4 what im runnin and lookin at the 12"

I would think 12 would be ok. That is what I am running in the sedan at left. Have a 8 in the roadster, and it is in the way most of the time.

Do yall use the speedway steering column mount against firewall? I have a speedway T bucket manual in my array of books. If i use this i need to install the T-nuts in plywood firewall before i glass it in.

Is there a easy math for me to know where the brake pedal comes through floor? Or am i gonna wait till seat and column are figured out and then cut hole in floor?

What type of pedal assembly are you using...below the floor, under the dash, on the floor? Is there any pedal and/or master cylinder bracketry already mounted to the frame? What type of steering?

Keep in mind that this is the cyber-voice of inexperience.

I don't think there is one order fits all for mounting the steering column, brake pedal, and the brake master cylinder. It will be a matter of determining the flexibility in mounting position of all the components, and start with the least flexible.

In my case, the brake pedal and master cylinder must be directly connected to each other on opposite sides of the firewall, sitting on the floor, and the master cylinders must clear the engine. The steering will need multiple universals regardless, so it's positioning is more flexible. So for me the brake pedal and master comes first.

Cooter are you buying a setup from someone like @RPM or Speedway? They should be able to tell you the distance from the firewall based in the pedal travel which is based on the pedal ratio- typical about 6:1 or 6 times the length above the pivot than below. We built our own setup on the Purple Powder Pickup and set and adjusted it do the travel at panic stop is about 3/4 from the firewall, but still at the right position (eq with gas pedal) at normal position

I have the 10" stretch body from ron. I built a ccr frame. No steering column yet. Im gonna try and get floor glassed to body asap so i can figure this all out. I want to get chassis done.

Ain't it great to have a good helper to work along with you. Looks like you won't have much of a trans hump to deal with. Lookin good.
