Was wondering if anyone may have had any experience with the T.P. gas tank filler neck assembly. I was told to install the rubber sleeve into the tank fitting, then attach the deck lid to the car, push the filler neck thru the deck lid hole into the fitting & then fasten the neck to the deck lid. This all made sense and that's how I did it. My problem is that when I fill the tank, gas is sloshing out at the neck at the tank. Since you can't see under the deck lid, it's hard to tell what's wrong. I do know that as I pushed the neck into the tank fitting it was tight until I got to about 1/2 inch from seating onto the lid and then it kinda popped and went the rest of the way down. Any advise?
