How sturdy are spirit bodies?

Here is my next question. Where are the places in the body that wood need the wood? how much is enough?

When we wood a body we get a couple of 1 x 2" from the lumber yard. Cut it into 3-4" pieces nothing specific don't even get the tape measure out. Take a sander, grinder and scuff the inside where the wood and glass will go. Now glue these pieces all around the top inside edge of the body with the 2" side vertical. We use liquid nails and clamp those little pieces in place, when you get them all done. This might take a few days as you will need clamps to hold all those pieces while the liquid nails sets. Then lay 2 layers of glass over the wood strips. You will cut these strips about 6-7" wide and as long as you can work with. The glass should completely cover the wood top and bottom. If there will be no doors that will be all you need.

If you don't want to wait for the Liquid nais to set, mix up some body putty to set the wood in the body. Dries in a few hours and then you can glass. Besure to scuff the inside of the body to remove the wax.

The resin and matt is stronger than the glue. Have replaced glued in pieces that came loose, not fun!! JMO

Just a thin coat of body filler will hold the wood in? When you fiberglass the wood in the body filler will be OK?
