Well, down time for me is thinking/dreaming time.:) So, last night I planned out my brake system. Made a list of the part #'s, etc. Looks promising. I'm going with Nicopp lines and will post pics, when I get to the installation.

Thanks to the tax man, I had some disposable income. So, I got caught on my bills and had enough left for a pair of shocks. I'll be eating hot dogs for lunch and dinner, but the shocks will be here Monday or Tuesday.:)

We call hot dogs "tube steaks".

That's what kills me about the car shows on TV.

We all know the kind of money that goes into those cars. And that real builds are paycheck to paycheck.

Hot dogs aren't so bad. Now if it were Ramen Noodles, I would have to buy one shock at a time.

That's funny because I'm looking at 5 different flavors right now!:) 5 for $1! Can't beat it.

The taxman helped get a lot of bills taken care. So, with that weight off my shoulders, I made a commitment to get my wheels and tires in 6 WEEKS! Here's a pic of the wheels:

For tires, the plan is: 165/80R/15's in front and 265/70R/15's in the rear.

If anyone has recipes for hot dogs and Ramen noodles, send me a PM. It's time to get serious. All bets are off. Back against the wall. Balls hanging in the wind. Get the idea?:)

Nice! What did the center caps set you back? I need two. I may have them made custom, but those are nice! Getting new parts helps the moral factor.

It's not even funny. The center caps are $35 a piece. A set of four is half of what the wheels will cost. But for the whole package to work, I'll have to get 'em.

I like them. I need a pair for my magnesiums on the rear. My friend offered to make some at work, I may take him up on it. I'm not sure if chrome will look right with the grey ish mags. $35.00 each does sting a bit, but not many options. I remember having chrome covers that came from nationwise auto parts for like ten bucks for two bolt on and two chrome bearing dust covers, lol... cal custom or Daytona brand.. inflation!

Installed my rear shocks today! Man, I love progress. My next step is to save the coin for wheels and tires.

Looking good, Fred! That's what's gonna keep your rear end off the pavement!:D:laugh:

PS - What spring rate did you decide on?

165 lbs. They're adjustable, I have them at a medium setting. As things progress and that ultimate test drive happens, I'll decide to change accordingly.
