WOW, thats a lot of technology to drill a couple of holes, but why the hell not. If you got the equipment then us it.

That is one seriously cool drilling rig. I've often wished I had something like that, but never actually seen one. I'll be wishing once again if I ever get my frame.

I love mag drills. I use to use one along with an angle plate for metal stitching.

Looking good, that is a stretched body correct? After driving mine for a few miles........I really need something larger! I feel like an over grown kid with too driving something with too much HP! Fun to say the least but, not too comfortable for the long haul. That being said I'll I deal with it until because it is a joy! Until I build the next one that is.........

You gonna extend the tops?

You could. But I would use 2mm Coremat. It's real easy to work with. 2 layers and a layer of mat over the top would end up very ridged.

4mm can get a bit difficult to wet out.

Saturate the back sides of some template cut Coremat on scrap cardboard. Then flip them over upright, put them in place, wet and roll them out. You'll be impressed with the stiffness of Coremat.

The thing about hand laying up Coroplast is that the center voids stay empty. A lot of the materials being used for hand lay up were really intended for vacuum infusion. Where a vacuum pulls epoxy through all the layers and voids.

can I glass over coroplast on inside of bed cap for strength?

Cooter, are you thinking of Plascore? The material Spirit is using in their bodies?

Now this stuff is a whole different story. You can squegee body filler or a mixx of resin and milled fibers into the cavities and glass over it.

Coroplas is I think a PVC or styrene material used for signage.
